In the heart of the protected cultural environment in charming Henningsvær, surrounded by traditional fishermen’s cabins and fish reception centers, you will find Villa Bryggekanten, which was built in the 1980s. Here, in Lofoten’s most important and vibrant fishing village, we have taken on the responsibility of continuing the history. We carry the name Henningsvær with pride and respect, and our detached villa on the waterfront, in the midst of Henningsvær, is becoming a vibrant boutique hotel where both residents, fishermen, merchants, and travelers will feel at home.
History and innovation
Henningsvær has always served as a natural gathering point for people from different backgrounds, where ideas are exchanged, and entrepreneurs and innovators have found their place. We carry this legacy from our predecessors with great humility and insight, and we are determined to continue our history in this lively fishing village north of the Arctic Circle. At the same time, we see that more and more people are seeking happiness, wanting to slow down their lives, and experience the unique closeness to nature that exists here. Villa Bryggekanten wants to open the door for you and give you the opportunity to see the world with entirely new eyes.
A personalized hotel experience
With only 30 hotel rooms, it goes without saying that the experience will be personal. The rooms have retained the simple, charming style that fits so well into our fishing village, while offering quality beds from Wonderland, comfortable duvets, Nespresso machines, and delightful soap series that contribute to a feeling of total well-being. In addition, you have a view of the pier, the harbor, or the majestic Vågakallen.
At Villa Bryggekanten, we will create the perfect balance between privacy and the opportunity to share experiences with other guests. Friend groups and families will particularly appreciate our four loft rooms, which are ideal for up to four people. Whether you are traveling alone, as a couple, or with your family, we will do everything we can to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Wine bar and local flavors
We are building a wine bar that will house around 350 carefully selected wines from all corners of the world. Here, we will facilitate gatherings for both locals and visitors from different cultures to enjoy our diverse selection of wines. Our social sharing menu will include a diverse mix of local cheeses, sausages, and specialties from the unique Lofoten area. This gives you the opportunity to taste the richness of Lofoten’s flavors with friends, family, or new acquaintances.
